Boarding

When you drop off your pet at a boarding facility, you’re not just asking someone to feed and water it as if it were a plant. You’re asking someone to love and care for your pet, a member of your family, while you have to be away from home. At Bluff Park Animal Clinic, we get it; we know that you are entrusting us with the physical and emotional well-being of your much loved furry companion and we are ready to be there for both you and your pet.

When it comes to finding dependable options for boarding your companion pets, choosy pet owners who want veterinary supervision for their pets choose Bluff Park Animal Clinic. We offer safe and secure climate-controlled facilities with separate areas for dogs and cats to reduce stress and anxiety.

For our canine companions, we have indoor kennels and runs for larger dogs. They are walked two to three times a day, and we have a fenced-in yard where they can play. Our feline friends are housed in kennels where they can stretch out and cat nap quite comfortably. We supply blankets and towels for all of our boarding guests and do not recommend bringing in extra things from home.

Because a sudden change in diet can cause digestive upset, we provide all guests with Purina EN, a nutritionally balanced and easy to digest diet. (Clients can bring in their pet’s own food from home in a labeled bag.) We also administer medications and special diets when needed. Our staff monitors the appetite and urination/bowel movements of each canine and feline guest, and our veterinarians will be alerted if any problems are noted.

If you live in Hoover, Vestavia, Homewood, or the Birmingham Metro area and you need boarding services that you can trust, give us a call for more information, or come by and check us out. We recommend making reservations in advance, especially during the holidays and peak vacation times. All boarders are required to be up to date on their vaccinations and parasite free.

Since 1972, Bluff Park Animal Clinic has been helping sick animals get well, and promoting responsible pet ownership through preventative health care and client education.
